PRACTICE NEWS

Stay Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives

UPDATE. IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ.

Anyone attending surgery is now required to provide and wear their own face covering. Face coverings are widely available online, but you probably already have something suitable in your own home. You can use a scarf, bandana or any piece of material, provided it covers your nose & mouth.
Thank you for your support.

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the booking of face to face appointments via our online system has been temporarily disabled. You should telephone either surgery to arrange all appointments. Please be prepared to be asked questions by our reception staff in order for us to adhere to safety precautions and the latest guidance for NHS organisations. Please also be prepared to be offered telephone appointments instead of face to face (where appropriate).

We urge all patients (where possible) to order prescriptions online. Where this is not possible, we have prescription boxes and letter boxes at each of our surgeries where you can drop off your order without entering the surgery. Please assign a Pharmacy for your prescription to be sent to, so that you don't have to come in to the surgery to collect.

You may notice our staff wearing personal protective equipment as an infection prevention and control measure.

PLEASE DO NOT VISIT THE PRACTICE UNLESS YOU HAVE NO SYMPTOMS AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY.

For further and current information, guidance can be found at: www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19

PLEASE NOTE: NHS 111 is expected to be exceptionally busy in the coming days and weeks. If you have online access and need to contact NHS 111 regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) please do so via NHS 111 online: https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19

You should only telephone NHS 111 regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19) if you do not have online access.

Allocated Named GP – Patients Aged Under 75

From April 2015 we are required by our NHS contract to allocate a named GP to all of our patients. Please see the list below giving information of your named GP, if you are unsure please check with one of our reception staff.

SURNAME ALLOCATED GP
A - E Dr A D Mellor

A named GP has been allocated according to surname and this GP will be responsible for the co-ordination of all appropriate services and ensure these services are delivered when required.

This will not affect you seeing the GP of your choice; you can continue to book appointments with any one of our Doctors. If you require any further information please ask at reception.
