Patient Information

Patient Participation Group

As a way for patients to help us to deliver the kind of service that is needed locally, we have a patient participation group. This comprises of a number of patients interested in being involved in the introduction of new services and implementing change of existing services.

The group is a voluntary independent body, completely separate from the practice and meets a number of times during the year to discuss new services, patient surveys etc and their comments and views are welcomed.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact the following member:

Mrs Diane Ramsden - 01226 755376

Below are the minutes of our patient group meetings for this year:

Our Public Engagement Network (OPEN) Membership

Below is a message from Barnsley CCG regarding OPEN Membership.

The Public & Patient Engagement Team (PPE) of Barnsley CCG are ensuring public and patient engagements is at the heart of its activities, and should be embedded within the culture of NHS Barnsley and views of all patients, members of the public and service users are equally valued.

By becoming an 'OPEN member' you will have the opportunity to make a difference to local health services and have a voice in the planning of local services. Within the scheme we have developed three levels of membership depending on how involved you would like to be:

Level 1 - I would like to receive regular newsletter from NHS Barnsley Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Level 2 - As Level 1, I would like to be asked for my views and opinions on local health services via surveys.

Level 3 - As Level 1& 2, I would like to be invited to be involved in discussions around my chosen area of interest.

For more information or to complete an on line membership form please visit www.barnsleyccg.nhs.uk.
